Hello all,
To prepare for the 4th print run of past Historica Arcanum titles, we took the time to go back and fix the typos, remaster the statblocks and subclasses, and give a visual overhaul to the City of Crescent, Empires of the Silk Road, and Herald of Rain.
If you previously had access to the PDFs of these titles, you can download the new editions for free from your dashboards. If you have trouble reaching the PDFs, just let us know and we can sort it out!

Happy new year everyone!
We hope you guys are having a great time celebrating holidays with your loved ones, playing awesome games, and plotting horrifying encounters for your adventuring parties.
We just wanted to take the opportunity to thank all of you for embarking on this magical journey with Metis.
2023 has been a true watershed year for us: The release of Empires of the Silk Road and Herald of Rain got overwhelmingly positive responses from you guys; we won our very first ENNIE Gold Medal and secured two nominations for the Tabletop Awards; we helpedGrim Golem Games to create Wayfarer - a project very close to our hearts; our team grew almost twofold and to accommodate all the overflowing creativity we moved to a much bigger office; and finally our most ambitious game to date, Historica Arcanum: Era of the Crusades became a smash hit - flying past our wildest dreams.
We are a small independent studio, and for every game we create, the deciding factor for the scope is always the support we get from our audience, from you. This is all thanks to you.
Now, onwards to 2024!
A year jam-packed with Historica Arcanum that I get the shivers from thinking about everything we will showcase very soon. Full releases of our previous games, massive convention booths, upcoming Kickstarters, and much more!
One thing we can promise, the World of Historica Arcanum is about to get a whole lot bigger, very soon!
From Metis Creative with lots of love,
Yes, we had an epic Nerf fight afterwards.

Playtest Materials are out - Check Your Emails!

– Tue, Nov 28, 2023 at 06:55:05 AM
Hello all,
Today, we start our very first public playtest for Historica Arcanum: Era of the Crusades.
All backers who have access to Historica Arcanum: Era of the Crusades PDF have received an email with the playtest materials containing the alpha version of the Subclasses and the Deck of the Damned.
Bear in mind that copy editing hasn't started so there will be a lot of typos. Also, the layout and the illustrations team is still working intensely on the two sections. While this version is a good primer into what the final Era of the Crusades pages will look like - it is nowhere close to complete.
